Campaign inspired by the great painters

Campaign inspired by the great painters

Always at the forefront, the famous shoe designer Christian Louboutin recreated the great works of universal painting to promote his latest collection. Together with the photographer Peter Lippmann managed to perfectly integrate his shoes, boots and bags with the clothing and the set of the original painting as if a complement was more. Once again, fashion and art go hand in hand

This is the case of the new lookbook by Christian Louboutin, a work by well-known photographer Peter Lippmann who collaborates once again with the designer of red sole shoes to present a series of photographs showing part of the Autumn-Winter 2011/2012 collection. The images perfectly recreate portraits of the classic painting as the "Portrait d ?? une Negresse ?? Of Marie Guillelmine Benoit, ?? Elizabeth of Austria ?? Of Francois Clouet or Saint Dorothy ?? Scored by Francisco De Zurbarán.

Like painting or photography, fashion is another aspect, the way of presentation of artists that with a needle, often drink from other sources such as architecture or music. These artistic paths come together at some point, but what fascinates most is when both paths overlap from beginning to end.

In the photos you can see how they have managed to perfectly integrate part of the new collection of Louboutin shoes, booties and bags with the clothing and the whole original painting as if it were a more compliment. The photographer knew to capture the light and certain characteristics of the original paintings. And so, the art of painting and the art of design are united in the same image.

A campaign with modern and old touches, with a classic but very innovative character. A careful aesthetic to the last detail that gives us not only a great product that most women go crazy, but a beauty rarely seen before in a lookbook.
